Adelaide, according to MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS, didn't do quite enough in their victory over the Lions to reclaim the number 1 spot, which has now been held by Port Adelaide for the past two weeks.

This week it was the turn of the RSMP Head-to-Head Tipsters to outperform the field, the pair recording the only 6 from 9 performances, which sees them now sitting one tip clear at the top of the Leaderboard on 51 from 80 (64%).

The last two Totals markets were posted much as we expected and left MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS predicting, on average across the entire round, about an extra goal and a half per game compared to the bookmakers.

This weekend's football seems very likely to be rain-affected, which should provide an interesting assessment of the extent to which MoSSBODS' ignorance of weather impairs its practical efficacy as an informer for over/under wagering.

Amongst this weekend's slightly truncated set of eight matches, five have bookmaker handicaps that imply the final victory margin will be under 14 points.

The Crows, after their second successive loss - the latest one to the Dees - have surrendered their number 1 ranking on both MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS. That spot has been taken by their cross-town rivals, Port Adelaide.

Five favourites won over the weekend, and all of the MoS Head-to-Head Tipsters joined BKB in scoring five out of nine for the round.

MoSSBODS and both the TAB and Centrebet bookmakers think we'll see over 200 points in one game this weekend. MoSHBODS thinks we'll see it in two.

Were it not for Home Sweet Home, this week we'd have a zero all-Tipster Disagreement Index across the Head-to-Head Tipsters.

Though the Crows are now not as unbeatable as they seemed to be a week ago, they're still the highest rated team in the competition, according to both MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS.

What an extraordinary round that was, with every one of the nine victors a team that started the week lower on the competition ladder than did the team they beat.

The likelihood of rain at Bellerive on Saturday seems to have led to a relatively large difference in the Totals posted by the TAB and Centrebet for the Roos v Adelaide game being played there then.

The usual suspects aside, there's not much disagreement amongst the forecaster families this week, with overall disagreement levels registering new or equal lows for both the Head-to-Head Tipsters and the Margin Predictors.

MoSSBODS now rates Port Adelaide a fractionally better side than GWS after a weekend in which the Giants conceded 28 scoring shots to the Dogs, and Port racked up 40 against the Lions. MoSHBODS also rates the two teams almost equally but puts the Giants narrowly ahead.

Only five of the round's favourites prevailed this weekend, but the MoS Head-to-Head Tipsters still managed to average 5.9 correct tips, bolstered most of all by MoSSBODS_Marg's haul of 7 from 9.

This week, the average absolute difference between MoSSBODS' and the bookmakers' opinions about game totals is about 7 points per game. In seven of the games, the difference is more than six points, which has led to the most wagering activity we've seen from the Over/Under Fund this season. But more about that in a moment.

This week, the forecasters - well, at least those that don't take bookmaker input - are split more in terms of victory margins than they are in terms of picking winners.

Adelaide did enough this week, according to MoSSBODS, to reclaim 1st position and also did enough, according to MoSHBODS, to retain 1st position on Combined Ratings.

This (extended) weekend, eight of the nine winners were ranked higher on the competition ladder than their opponents going into the round, but only seven were favourites. As a result, Consult The Ladder (CTL) recorded its equal-best single round result of the season so far.
