CLUSTER SCORE PROGRESSION DATA
The tool below allows you to explore clustering of the score progression data for all men’s AFL games from 2012 to 2025 (excluding one game in 2015 that is missing from the source and the 2017 Elimination Final between West Coast and Port Adelaide that went to extra time).
You can explore five different clustering methods and cluster counts from 3 to 20. For each selected method and count you can view three different cluster quality methods.
By default, the clustering of all games from 2012 to 2025 are shown in the plots and the cluster summary below, but you can, instead, select a subset of seasons to plot and summarise. Note, however, that doing this does NOT create new cluster solutions - it merely shows how the games from those seasons are clustered using the results for all games for the chosen method and cluster count.
