2026 - Round 23 Results - Return to Form

Eight of the nine early-week favourites won this week (actually eight won and two drew), and with contrarian behaviour at a minimum, only Home Sweet Home scored anything less than that eight. That left Bookie Knows Best and ENS_Linear atop the Head-to-Head Tipsters’ Leaderboard, and now on 150.5 from 198 (76%), five tips clear of MARS_Marg and RSMP_Weighted.

The all-Tipster average score came in at 7.6 from 9, taking the season-long figure to 141.2 from 198 (71%).

Margin prediction was, on average, much easier this week due to the large victories, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from ENS_Linear’s best of 14.6 points per game to Bookie_Hcap’s worst of 18.1 points per game.

Bookie_LPSO remains in top spot and now just under thee goals ahead of ENS_Linear. MoSHPlay_Marg remains in last place, now by only just over 23 goals.

(One interesting feature to note from the table is the number of forecasters who been on the right side of bookmaker handicap, which includes 53.5% of the time in the case of the ladder-leading Bookie_LPSO and 54% of the time in the case of the ladder-languishing MoSHPlay_Marg.)

The all-Predictor average for the round was 16.9 points per game, which was over 17 points a games lower than last week and took the season-long figure to 25.1 points per game.

Log probability scores were all very highly positive this week and very similar, with the best from Bookie_RE and narrowly worst from MARS_Prob.

Bookie_LPSO still holds top spot with MoSHPlay_Prob in second position and MoSHBODS_Prob in third. MARS_Prob remains in last place.

WAGERING

Both the Head-to-Head and, more importantly, Line Funds made money this week, which meant a very cliched welcome return to overall profitability.

In aggregate, the Combined Portfolio rose by almost 6c to now be up by 18c on a +10% ROI and a 1.81 turn.
