2026 - Round 19 Results - And Exhale ...

Only six of the nine early-week favourites secured the four points this round, and that was the score recorded by all but two Head-to-Head Tipsters this week, which left Bookie Knows Best and ENS_Linear still tied for first and now on 121.5 from 162 (75%) and MARS_Marg still in outright 3rd and back on 118.5 (73%).

The two outlying scores were a seven from Consult the Ladder, and a three from Home Sweet Home.

The all-Tipster average score came in at 5.8 from 9, taking the season-long figure to 114.5 from 162 (71%).

Margin prediction was, on average, much easier this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from RSMP_Weighted’s best of 15.0 points per game to Bookie_3’s worst of 18.8 points per game.

Bookie_9 still heads the Leaderboard, but now by just under two goals from Bookie_LPSO, with Bookie_Hcap still in 3rd and now another 29 points further back. MoSHPlay_Marg remains in last place, but now by less than 29 goals.

The all-Predictor average for the round was 16.5 points per game, which took the season-long figure to 25.1 points per game.

Log probability scores were all mildly positive and very similar this week, with the best from MARS_Prob. Bookie_LPSO still holds top spot on the Leaderboard, with Bookie_RE in second, and MoSHBODS_Prob in third. MARS_Prob remains in last place.

WAGERING

If ever there was a week to convince you that, most of the time, knowing a team’s rating is all you need, this was it, as both the Cats and the Power did better than many suggested despite having significant player turnover and delivered profit for Investors - handsomely in the case of the Power.

In the end, Investors enjoyed their second-highest weekly profit and saw the Combined Portfolio rise by 6.5c to now be up by just under 18c on a +13% ROI and a 1.34 turn.
