2025 - Round 25 : Overs/Unders
/There are four games this week, and the MoS twins have relatively similar views about the likely total scores in all of them, differing by no more than a couple of points in any single game.
With the notable exception of the Cats v Lions game, the bookmakers’ views are not all that different either.
WAGERS
Based on that fairly sizeable difference of opinion and the absence of forecast rain, MoSSBODS has opted for a non-trivial wager on the overs in that Cats v Lions game.
The estimated overaly is about 11 points, and the bet size 4.4% accordingly.
PREVIOUS WEEK
Last week saw the TAB take mean absolute error (MAE) honours for Game Margins and Home Team Scores outright and share the honours for Game Totals with Sportsbet, leaving MoSSBODS to do the same for Away Team Scores.
That left the TAB with the season-long lead for all four metrics.
Those leads are now as follows:
Game Margins: the TAB 10 points ahead of Sportsbet, 153 points ahead of MoSHBODS, and 305 points ahead of MoSSBODS
Home Team Scores: TAB 25 points ahead of Sportsbet, 36 points ahead of MoSHBODS, and 145 points ahead of MoSSBODS
Away Team Scores: the TAB 41 points ahead of Sportsbet, 90 points ahead of MoSHBODS, and 146 points ahead of MoSSBODS
Game Totals: TAB 23 points ahead of Sportsbet, 24 points ahead of MoSHBODS, and 84 points ahead of MoSSBODS
Wagering and Game-by-Game Performance
There was just one bet last weekend, an unsuccessful unders wagers with the TAB, which left MoSSBODS with an 18 and 19 season-long record against the TAB, and a 7 and 6 season-long record against Sportsbet.
Overall, MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS were on the wrong side of the TAB and Sportsbet in the lone game.
That took MoSSBODS to 104 from 207 (50%) against the TAB and Sportsbet, and MoSHBODS to 118 from 207 (57%) against the TAB and 117 from 207 (57%) against Sportsbet.
The round-by-round performance is shown in the following table.
