/It was five from eights for all the Head-to-Head Tipsters this week except Consult The Ladder and MARS_Marg who recorded sixes, which meant that MARS_Marg extended its lead over MoSHPlay_Marg to three tips and left a pack of five more Tipsters one tip further back in joint third.
The all-Tipster average score came in at 5.2 from 8, taking the season figure to 24.8 from 36 (69%).
Margin prediction performances were significantly poorer this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from MARS_Marg’s best of 32.5 points per game to Bookie_LPSO’s worst of 36.3 points per game.
MoSHPlay_Marg now heads the Leaderboard but is less than a point ahead of Bookie_3 who is, in turn only three points ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg. The top five places on the Leaderboard are separated by less than 10 points.
The all-Predictor average for the round was was 34.5 points per game, which took the season-long figure to 26.7 points per game.
Log probability scores were all positive again this week and remarkably similar for all Predictors. As such, MoSHPlay_Prob retained top spot on the Leaderboard ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob and MARS_Prob. Bookie_OE remains last.
WAGERING
With the Dogs taking an early substantial lead against the Dons on Sunday night, things looked very bleak for Investors, but a substantial lift in the Dons performance across the last three quarters kept the margin well below 70 points and meant that Investors instead saw a healthy profit returned.
That profit was 3.7c and left the Combined Portfolio now up by 8.2c on a +19% ROI and a 0.43 turn.
