2026 - Round 3 Results - Yeah, Nah, Yeah

It was six from sevens for all the Head-to-Head Tipsters this week except Home Sweet Home (3) and Consult The Ladder (4), which meant that there was no change at all in the Leaderboard above them.

That sees MARS_Marg still two tips ahead of the field and now on on 23 from 28 (82%), and MoSHPlay_Marg on 21 from 28 (75%) in second ahead of a pack of Tipsters one tip further back on 20 from 28 (71%).

The all-Tipster average score came in at 5.4 from 7, taking the season figure to 19.6 from 28 (70%).

Margin prediction performances were extraordinarily good this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from MoSHPlay_Marg’s best of 12.9 points per game to MARS_Marg’s worst of 19.8 points per game.

Bookie_3 still leads, and now on 23.6 points per game for the season, a little ahead of MoSHPlay_Marg (who moved from last to second), ENS_Linear, and Bookie_Hcap. MARS_Marg has dropped to last place.

The all-Predictor average for the round was was 16.2 points per game, which took the season-long figure to 24.4 points per game.

Log probability scores were all positive again this week and again best for MoSHPlay_Prob, which allowed in to retain top spot on the Leaderboard ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob and MARS_Prob. Bookie_OE remains last.

WAGERING

Richmond looked good things for at least the line bet up until half time in their game against Fremantle before falling away badly in the second half, taking Investors’ money with them. West Coast, on the other hand, looked no chance of defending either the head-to-head or line wagers when they were down 25-0 not long into the first term, but rallied and hung on admirably to eventually secure both bets.

Some heavy second-half scoring in the Blues v Dees game was enough to see the week’s only totals wager get up, all of which result in a rounding-error-sized profit.

That profit of 0.1c left the Combined Portfolio now up by only 4.5c on a +12% ROI and a 0.38 turn.
