2026 - Round 28 Results - Glass Half Full?

Both favourites won again this week, but both found their own unique ways to make it difficult. Such was the level of contrarian head-to-head tipping that only Bookie Knows Best and Consult the Ladder tipped both results, with five other Tipsters snagging just one, and MARS_Marg and Home Sweet Home snagging none.

That all left Bookie Knows Best is the outright lead on 163.5 from 217 (75%), one tip ahead of ENS_Linear and six ahead of RSMP_Weighted.

The all-Tipster average score for the round was 1 from 2, taking the season-long figure to 153.2 from 217 (71%).

Margin prediction was, on average, even much easier this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from Bookie_Hcap’s best of 5 points per game to MARS_Marg’s worst of 26.9 points per game.

Bookie_LPSO remains in top spot, now just under 25 points ahead of RSMP_Weighted and just under 27 points ahead of Bookie_Hcap. MoSHPlay_Marg remains in last place, now by just over 28 goals.

The all-Predictor average for the round was 11.3 points per game and left the season-long figure at 25.2 points per game.

Log probability scores were all positive this week for the bookmaker-based models, and negative for the MoS trio. Narrowly best was Bookie_RE and comfortably worst MARS_Prob.

Bookie_LPSO still holds top spot with MoSHPlay_Prob still in second. MoSHBODS_Prob slipped to fourth behind Bookie_RE. MARS_Prob remains in last place.

The week’s entire wagering effort was, once again, line bets in a single game and one overs bet. The overs bet was a loser and roughly 70% of the line betting, by volume, was a winner.

Consequently, the Combined Portfolio price again, this time by just over 2c, which left the Portfolio up by 13.8c on a +6.8% ROI and a 2.03 turn.
