/Eight of the nine early-week favourites won this week, which meant that contrarian tipping was mostly punished and that Bookie Knows Best joined ENS_Linear atop the Head-to-Head Tipsters’ Leaderboard, now on 136.5 from 180 (76%). MARS_Marg and RSMP_Weighted remain in joint third, four back on 132.5 (74%).
The outlying scores were sixes from the MoS twins and Consult the Ladder, and a four from Home Sweet Home.
The all-Tipster average score came in at 6.4 from 9, taking the season-long figure to 128.3 from 180 (71%).
Margin prediction was, on average, about as hard this week as last, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from Bookie_3’s best of 22.2 points per game to MoSHBODS_Marg’s worst of 25.4 points per game.
Bookie_LPSO remains in top spot and still just over four goals ahead of RSMP_Weighted. MoSHPlay_Marg remains in last place, now by only just over 24 goals.
The all-Predictor average for the round was 24 points per game, which took the season-long figure to 25 points per game.
Log probability scores were all positive this week and very similar, with the best from MoSHPlay_Prob and second-best from MARS_Prob.
Nonetheless, Bookie_LPSO still holds top spot with MoSHPlay_Prob retaking second position from MoSHBODS_Prob. MARS_Prob remains in last place.
WAGERING
Both the Head-to-Head and Overs/Unders Funds made money this week, but nowhere near enough to offset the 7c loss by the Line Fund.
In aggregate, the Combined Portfolio fell by just 5c, its largest single round fall this season, to now be up by just under 15c on a +9% ROI and a 1.6 turn.
