2026 - Round 12 Results - Disappointed by Dons

Four of the seven early-week favourites won this week, which meant that two-thirds of the Head-to-Head Tipsters scored exactly that, the exceptions being the MoSH twins’ three, and Consult The Ladders’ five.

Bookie Knows Best and ENS_Linear remain joint-leaders, now on 80 from 106 (75%), one tip ahead of MARS_Marg, and a further tip ahead of the RSMP twins.

The all-Tipster average score came in at 3.9 from 7, taking the season-long figure to 75.5 from 106 (71%).

Margin prediction was, on average, a little harder this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from ENS_Linear’s best of 30.8 points per game to MoSHPlay_Marg’s worst of 36.7 points per game.

Bookie_9 still heads the Leaderboard but now by only just over 20 points from Bookie_Hcap, who is a further 7 points ahead of Bookie_LPSO. MoSHPlay_Marg remains in last place, and is now over 25 goals behind the leader.

The all-Predictor average for the round was 32.6 points per game, which took the season-long figure to 26.8 points per game.

Log probability scores were mostly slightly positive this week, with the exception of MoSHPlay_Prob whose score was definitively negative. Bookie_LPSO still holds top spot on the Leaderboard, MoSHPlay_Prob retains second, and Bookie_RE retains third. MARS_Prob remains in last place.

WAGERING

Profitability this week came down to the last game where the Dons needed to stay within a couple of the Eagles to produce more green ink, but a withering burst from the Eagles commencing about half way through the second term virtually ended any hope of that.

In the end, the damage to the Combined Portfolio was a drop of just under 3c to now leave it up by 14.4c on a +15% ROI and a 0.96 turn.
