2025 - Round 14 Results - Still Not Lucky

SIx of the seven early-week favourites got up this weekend, and, with only mild contrarianism, registered scores were mostly around that number, the big exception being Home Sweet Home who scored only two.

MoSHPlay_Marg registered only five, however, which allowed Bookie Knows Best to close its lead to just two tips on the Head-to-Head Predictor Leaderboard. ENS_Linear sits in 3rd, two tips further back.

MoSHPlay_Marg now sits on 89.5 from 120 (75%).

The all-Tipster score came in at 5 from 7, which took the season-long all-Tipster performance to 80.7 from 120 (67%).

Margin prediction was, on average, almost 12 points per game harder this week, but easiest for MoSHPlay_Marg, whose mean average error (MAE) of 26.5 points per game was over one-and-a-half points per game better than next best, ENS_Linear’s 28 points per game. MoSSBODS_Marg, in a return to norm, recorded the worst MAE of 32.8 points per game.

The all-Predictor average was 29.9 points per game, which moved the season-long average to 27.5 points per game.

The round-by-round history of Margin Predictor rankings appears below, and shows MoSHPlay_Marg leaping back into 2nd place.

Log probability scores were all positive and very similar for all forecasters this week, but slightly better for MoSHPlay_Prob who, as a result, still sits atop the Leaderboard, MoSHBODS_Prob remaions in second, and MoSSBODS_Prob in third.

WAGERING

It was all very much about Brisbane Lions and the line market this week, and their failure there meant that a sixth weekly loss was inevitable.

Overall, the Combined Portfolio finished down by 3.4c, leaving it up by 8.5c on the season, that from a 7% ROI on a 1.21 turn.
