2016 - Round 18 Results - Ouch

Another poor weekend's wagering saw almost 6c wiped off the value of the Overall Portfolio - another record - as both the Head-to-Head and Line Funds missed on all four of their wagers.

The round's only collects came on overs/unders wagers, but even those two returns were insufficient to prevent the Overs/Unders Fund from recording its first loss since Round 13.

So, the Overall Portfolio, after three weeks of consecutive losses, now lies only 8c in profit on the year.

TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

MoSSBODS' disappointing wagering performance was, again, mirrored in its tipping results. MoSSBODS_Marg recorded the equal-lowest score amongst the Head-to-Head Tipsters, correctly selecting only five of the nine winners.

Best was a score of seven from nine, recorded by a number of Tipsters, while the all-Tipster average was 6.4.

BKB was one of the Tipsters bagging seven, and now enjoys a two tip outright lead over ENS_Greedy, ENS_Linear, and MoSSBODS_Marg. BKB's record is 114 from 153 (75%).

Bookie_LPSO assumed leadership of MoS' Margin Predictors, its 29.9 mean absolute error (MAE) almost 3 points per game better than C_Marg, the previous leader. Best overall was Bookie_9's 29.5 MAE, and the all-Predictor average was 33.1 points per game.

MoSSBODS_Marg's MAE was 35.8, which was insufficient to move it from 2nd-last spot on the Leaderboard.

In addition to Bookie_LPSO supplanting C_Marg in the number 1 spot, Bookie_9 also bounded up the list this week into 5th on the back of its league-leading MAE. Elsewhere, the two MoSS-based ensemble Predictors both fell two places on the back of sub-standard MAEs.

Amongst the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors MoSSBODS_Prob had the round's lowest probability score and C_Prob the second-lowest. All three of the bookie-based Predictors registered similar scores, which left the ordering on the Leaderboard unchanged.
